Standing on My Own Two Feet is the story of Addison, a little boy who is absolutely sure of his parents’ love for him...even though they are divorced. Each positive page is filled with simple and moving affirmations of his love and strength. This beautifully illustrated picture book is inspiring for both children and parents alike, and assures kids that they will always have their Mom and Dad to lean on, just as they have two strong feet to stand on.

Every year in the United States, over one million children are affected by divorce. Half of all children will witness the breakup of their parents’ marriage.

Children will do best if they know that their mother and father will still be their parents even though the marriage has ended. They need to know it is not their fault, and, that their Mom and Dad’s love is unconditional.

Standing on My Own Two Feet simply says just that.
